Become an EcoReporter!
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming an EcoReporter! As a reporter for EcoKids, we want you to write articles or create videos on local environmental activities and issues in your school and community.
Here are some things to keep in mind. Written reports can be accompanied by photographs. Video reports should be no longer than two minutes and can also be accompanied by a written article. Your parents/guardian will have to sign the photo release form and send it back to us.
Reports are to be provided in the formats specified below and can be sent either as an e-mail or on DVD to EcoKids.

Note: To have your submission published on the EcoKids website, you MUST provide accurate supporting documentation including the Photo Permission Form (for each person that will appear in the photo or the video) and Photographer Release Form.

Photos
- Max of 5 mb each
- Jpeg Format
- Send via e-mail or DVD.

Videos
- Two minutes or shorter in length
- Maximum file size of 20 mb
- Format in quicktime, mpeg or avi
- Send via DVD.
Text Articles
- Approximately 200-300 words
- Microsoft Word format
- Send via e-mail.
Supporting Documentations
- Photo Permission Form from each person appearing in photo/video
- Photographer Release Form
- Student Reporter information as it will appear online (First name, age/grade, city and province)
