Oscar’s Update

December 2010 — A mechanic at Mic Mac Motors gave me some good ideas and reminders to tell our parents to make sure that our cars are in good shape for winter and ready to go in the morning.
- Just start up your car for a couple of minutes before getting in it. Don’t leave them running very long. It only takes 1 minute to get things going.
- Bundle up and wear warmer clothes, a hat and mitts in the car while you’re on your way to school, work or shopping. Before you know it, the car will be heated up.
- Scrape the windows off your car instead of running the car for a long time to defrost them.
- If you have a garage or carport use it for you vehicle.
