Teacher
Frogs are used in schools to teach kids biology. Students look inside a frog’s body to find out how the heart, stomach and other organs inside a body work.
Scientist
Some scientists collect frogs to learn more about them. Other scientists use frogs to study health and medicine.
Chef
Some people eat frog legs. About 6 500 tonnes
of frog legs are eaten every year (Beebee,
1996). It takes about 20 000 frogs to get
1 tonne of legs; now that's a lot of frogs.
Kid
Some kids (and adults too) like to keep frogs as pets. It’s neat to catch tadpoles and watch them develop into frogs. This is OK if the frog is returned to the same place it was taken from as a tadpole.
Fisher
Many kinds of fish eat frogs. Some people
use frogs as bait to catch fish.
